Posterhaste, a personalised wall art specialist, has embraced the retail tradition of creating a filmed advert celebrating the run-up to Christmas. The ad watches generations of a family growing up, showing the importance of family traditions and being together at Christmas time.
The advert features the independent company’s Family Portrait design, which allows customers to create a fun stick-figure likeness of their nearest and dearest in print using the hundreds of accessories and character options available on the Posterhaste website.
Posterhaste co-founder Keira Willis said: “It’s exciting for us to have the opportunity to launch our first ever Christmas advert, and as a family-run business we couldn’t think of a more important story to tell.”
The heartwarming film launches alongside several new product lines for the Stamford-based company, including personalised greetings cards, wrapping paper, tote bags and notebooks, all of which feature their popular Family Portrait design.
Online store Posterhaste partnered with creative agency Doodledo to develop the campaign and produce the advert, which will form part of its social media advertising strategy.
“After a difficult couple of years for small businesses, we wanted to create this ad to encourage people to shop independent this Christmas,” said Posterhaste co-founder Sam Willis.
He adds: “While smaller businesses may not have the marketing budgets of their larger counterparts, we feel privileged that customers are actively seeking to shop small and support independent businesses during the festive period.”
