Nobody likes brain fog, so helping you design your office space to promote creativity, productivity and calmness is our priority! Interior Expert at www.victoryblinds.com.au, Stuart Clark, shares his insight into some of the best colours to paint your office and some colours you’ll want to avoid!

GREENS AND BLUES

Green and blue are both colours that promote calmness, are easy on the eyes and can improve your focus. Try painting a feature wall with blue or green if you don’t like the idea of painting the whole room, and position your desk towards the wall to optimise the benefits.

YELLOWS

Yellow is the colour of creativity and innovation. We understand bright yellow may be a bit too overwhelming for the office, so we recommend a pale yellow or opt for a yellow feature wall.

COLOURS TO AVOID

WHITES, GREYS AND BEIGES

Surprisingly, very few people are aware that white, beiges and greys have a negative effect on the brain when it comes to concentration and productivity. Whites, greys and beiges can encourage boredom and negative emotions that can lead to unproductivity so it’s best to keep away from these colours if you are a creative person.

REDS

If you get overwhelmed easily, try to stay away from decorating your office red. Red is the perfect colour for a fast paced business environment that requires high energy physically and mentally, as it increases the heart rate and keeps you alert but for the home, its best to avoid.
