The Ballerina was inspired by an image from her debut book, Who Do I See in the Mirror? She decided to make the dolls for her daughter as a gift but was encouraged by everyone who saw them, especially her parents, to make them commercially available.

The feedback has been incredible with one mum saying “I think it’s the most beautiful dolly I’ve ever seen. Honestly, it’s simply stunning. I have been raving to my friends about it. Congratulations on creating such a high-quality product that is so important and the perfect fit for any little girl”.

Philly & Friends aims to add a drop of colour in the sea of children’s products. They believe all children need to see themselves and others represented in the books they read, toys they play with and media they consume.
